In the Community

Since the opening of our doors in 1949, First Federal Bank has remained committed to making a difference in the lives of the people of Southwest and Central Louisiana. As a community bank, it has always been our mission and responsibility to support the community through nonprofit and organization event support, in-kind donations and volunteer hours to ultimately help families, schools, businesses and local economies prosper.

As a financial institution, First Federal is committed to our unique position as providers of financial education to members of the community. We do this through providing resources, conducting workshops and working alongside partners such as Project Build a Future, a program aimed at helping low- and moderate-income families buy their first home. Because educating adults and our youth on sound financial principles and money management will empower them to create a better tomorrow for themselves and future generations.

Our employees are also involved in our community efforts and dedicate countless volunteer hours to local community organizations, participate in donation drives in our branches and raise funds to benefit local causes — including disaster relief.

At First Federal Bank, being an active and positive force for our community is a part of our culture. The organizations we support benefit:

  • Arts, Culture & Humanities
  • Family, Women & Youth Organizations
  • Education & Sports
  •  Environmental & Wildlife Conservation
  • Health & Human Services
  • Civic, Business & Community Organizations
